If you are searching for the games with the best graphics and visuals, you don’t need to worry. We have listed some games that are bound to give your graphics card a hard time.
Best Graphics Games
Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 takes you on a wild ride of the west with its beautiful graphics and epic gameplay. It is an action/adventure game that has a vast open-world environment for you to explore freely. You can travel by foot, vehicle, or even ride a horse. And these horses will be very handy when you want to explore the lands by taking full advantage of beautiful sceneries and landscapes. And as you are playing like a true cowboy, you might as well buy a nice hat and a gun for yourself. Aside from graphics, this game also has a well-written story and missions that you don’t want to miss. Sure, exploring is fun, but what really makes it one of the best open-world games is its character progression and storyline. Once you start your journey in this game, you won’t even notice the time flying by.
Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
Witcher 3 is definitely one of the best games you’ll ever play. A huge open world to explore, hundreds of missions, great character customization, and tons of monsters to slay; whatever you name, it has all of them. And on top of that, it has absolutely popping graphics. The world of Witcher is full of monsters and mythical creatures. It might take you a while to figure out what exactly is going on when you first start the game. But once you complete some quests, you’ll be all over it. Witcher 3 is one of the most well-designed games out there, and throughout the game, you’ll feel it too. It has amazing effects, great customization, and a crafting system, as well as a unique ending based on how you handle events. And the most amazing thing that will surely make you stare at your screen is the scenery of the sunset. During your gameplay, your environment is filled with greenery and trees. However, when there is sunset, it gets bright red, and you can see the sun’s rays coming through the trees. It looks amazing.
Elen Ring
Elden Ring has a lot of things to offer if you have enough time and passion for playing it. A vast, beautiful open world to explore, challenging missions and side quests, and insanely hard enemies will make sure that you don’t get to think about anything else while you’re playing this game. There are a lot of bosses to slay and memories to make in this game. However, the bosses in this game are known to be extremely strong and literally leave you with a slither of HP in a single hit if you’re not well equipped. So, smashing buttons randomly and hoping for the best won’t help you this time. But it shouldn’t be a problem if you’ve completed all the missions and side quests before fighting a boss. Talking about the bosses, they are all very well designed, and you will encounter tons of them, each of them having completely different mechanics. The particle effects in this game are outstanding as well. With a beautiful and vast world filled with monsters and other creatures, this game easily falls under one of the best graphics games.
Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima is all about ancient Japanese culture and its beauty. The thrills of exploring lands filled with greenery and cherry blossoms while also fighting groups of Mongol armies in a life and death match are unparalleled in this game. Released in 2020, this game instantly became one of the most played and loved games of that year. It also features an open world that you can explore freely, doing all sorts of missions and having all sorts of conversations with your people. It has an enthralling story where you’ll be fighting against hordes of Mongol armies to protect your country from invasion. It also features a photo mode that lets you capture dazzling moments of the game and save them on your device. The photo mode has different options that you can change to make sure that you’ll only get perfect photos every time.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
This is another open-world game that has both beautiful graphics and aesthetics. As the name implies, it really makes you feel like you’re in the wild and are free to do anything that your heart desires. Breath of the wild has vast landscapes that you’ll never be tired of exploring. It is filled with enemies and dangers that await you at each step. The gameplay is nonlinear, and you can take full advantage of it by completing any missions you like in any order. The missions are extremely fun and engaging as well, and you’ll be enjoying every moment in the game. The best part of Breath of the Wild is that every experience in this game is unique and amazing. You might start this game together with your friend on the same day, but when you talk to each other about your gameplay, you can be sure that each of your experiences will be entirely different. There are a million ways to do the same thing in Breath of the Wild, and you can be sure of that.
The Last of Us Part II
The Last of Us II will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entirety of its gameplay. Despite receiving a lot of hate from the gamers, it is still one of my favorite games in the horror survival genre. Every moment in this game is filled with suspense and thriller. Whether you’re chasing an enemy or running from a horde of zombie-like creatures, you can feel the tension that is building up in the atmosphere. The game is very dark, and oftentimes you’ll even question your own decisions. With realistic graphics, it feels nothing short of an actual movie. Riding a horse in snow-filled mountains and killing zombies with your life on the line while seeking revenge against people that wronged you will give you an experience you can’t forget. The ending is quite disappointing but hey, who actually cares about the ending when the rest of the gameplay is as amazing as it gets, right?
Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 is the only racing game on this list, and for a good reason too! Its insanely detailed graphics will make your heart leap with joy. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing on a racing wheel or a controller; it will make sure you get the best racing experience possible. It also has a huge open world consisting of some of the most stunning places in Mexico. Plus, it has thousands of supercars for you to unlock and race to your heart’s content. You can literally drive anywhere you want in this game. Be it a mountain, river bank, or a really busy highway, you can be sure that you’ll have nothing but a memorable experience while playing this game. But you know what would be better than driving thousands of world-class cars? A dynamic weather system that changes in-game seasons every week. That’s right! Not only do you get to drive your favorite car in the most beautiful places, but you also get to enjoy these sceneries every season as well.
Control
Control is a third-person action/adventure game developed by Remedy Entertainment and like all other games on this list, this one has very detailed graphics as well. It is tense, mysterious, and at the same time, very challenging. And on top of that, it has a female protagonist. For all of you weebs out there, this can’t get any better. Now, control has some supernatural aspects as well. In addition to carrying a weapon, you can also fly in thin air and throw stuff around with your psychic prowess. The game has a nice story and flow where you’ll be learning about what is going on along the way as you progress further. The attention to detail in this game is top-notch. From particle effects to animation, this game is definitely one of the best games of Remedy Entertainment.
God of War
If you have spent your childhood playing different games as I did, you should be pretty familiar with this game. Although many of us remember Kratos as a proud and arrogant god-slaying guy, the latest God of War game shows that he has come a long way. With a completely different look and a brand new weapon, he sets out to set history once more. The game is set in the Norse lands, where you’ll play as the former god of war, Kratos, in his journey to fulfill his last promise to his wife. You will be accompanied by his son this time around, who will aid you throughout your journey. This game takes you on beautiful adventures in Norse lands, and you’ll have crazy encounters with the Gods and monsters of Norse mythology. These Gods, however, aren’t very friendly, so you’ll have to force your way through them, fighting epic battles.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West is a weird mix between sci-fi and prehistoric elements, and it does that in such a good way. It feels like you’ve suddenly entered the eras of dinosaurs, but in a parallel universe because robotic dinosaurs are running everywhere in this game. It is an action RPG game that takes place in a mysterious land called the Forbidden West. Your job is to explore these vast lands, complete various missions, and search for answers. Again, it has a vast, beautiful open world that makes it look like a scene from a movie. With the ray tracing ability and realistic graphics, it really does compel you to stop and enjoy the view every once in a while. The game also has epic action scenes where you’ll be hunting robotic monsters and people from different tribes. These monsters drop parts that can be used in crafting new weapons and equipment. So, it does make you feel like you’re playing the Monster Hunter game sometimes, but that’s the least of your concern as the gameplay more than makes up for it.
Days Gone
Running away from hordes of zombies has never been this thrilling and exciting. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, this game will teach you the true ways of living a rogue life. Traveling and exploring the huge open world in your rugged bike and fighting against different factions of survivors and large zombie hordes, this game really shows us the realistic scenarios if a zombie outbreak ever occurred. The game can be played in various ways. You can either follow the campaign mode and see how the story plays out. Or you can travel the vast, beautiful world on your bike, taking down enemies and collecting resources for crafting weapons. Whatever path you choose, there will be danger awaiting you in every corner. Different types of zombies and humans are out to get anyone in their sight, and you’ll be fighting a lot of them and also dying a lot of time. You might even be chased by thousands of these zombies sometimes.
Dying Light 2
It is another survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world. But instead of shooting zombies in the head and traveling on a bike, it offers a variety of parkour skills that help you slip through them like a ninja. It also offers a large open world full of beautiful graphics and sceneries. However, there are also dangers awaiting you throughout your journey. Contrary to other zombie games, it does not feature many firearms. In order to survive the hordes of zombies, you’ll either have to fight them using melee weapons or run like your life depends on it. And when you’re not fighting the zombies, you’re showing off your parkour skills, running and jumping on the roofs of the buildings and mountains. This game, however, had many bugs at the time I was playing it. But it has been a while since I played the game, and it has received numerous updates after that, so by the time you’re playing it, the bugs might not even be there.
Star Wars: Battlefront
Star Wars: Battlefront will take you on a journey to distant planets in galaxies that are very far away. It is a third-person shooter game with insanely detailed and realistic graphics. The game takes place on various planets having different environments. The game doesn’t have a campaign mode which is quite disappointing, but it does provide extremely fast-paced, action-packed gameplay where you’ll be engaging in vicious battles with enemy teams. You can play as some of the memorable characters from the Star Wars universe. It has some of the most beautiful graphics in all Star Wars games, and if you’re a Star Wars fanatic, you cannot miss this one.
Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus is an FPS game set in a semi-open post-apocalyptic world. It is basically set after the events of a nuclear war in Russian lands. The game is challenging, entertaining, and at the same time, very engaging. The gameplay takes place in a series of missions where you’ll have to travel to different locations in search of new hope and life. Along the way, you’ll have to fight mutated animals and humans. The details in this game are amazing. From sound designs to graphics, every aspect of this game makes you want to continue the game for hours. The game also has a pretty good story to follow. It is engaging, but it’s not too difficult. You can craft and upgrade weapons with different materials you’ve collected by exploring. The game has different dynamic elements such as the day/night cycle and seasons that will keep things interesting until the end.
Guardians of the Galaxy
If you’re a fan of Marvel Cinematic Universe and its humorous way of delivering laughter, you cannot miss this one. This game lets you play as the Star-Lord, and save the galaxy together with his companions. The game takes you on a wild ride filled with action and adventures. Together with your companions, you will defeat powerful enemies and decide the fate of the galaxy. As the leader of the group, you will command your subordinates and launch various attacks on your enemies. You can level up by defeating enemies to unlock more abilities for both yourself and your companions. The game has amazing narration and character designs. With outstanding particle effects and smooth animation, this game definitely sets itself as one of the best graphics games.
Death Stranding
Death Stranding is another open-world game consisting of very realistic graphics. It is an action game with a fairly different story than most of the action games out there, mixing the genres of supernatural and adventures together. You work as a porter, tasked with delivering different goods and cargo to various parties. You’ll get merits based on how well you do your job, and these merit points can be used to upgrade your stats and gears. The game, however, starts to become tricky when invisible creatures from the afterlife begin to affect your job. These creatures are obsessed with the cargo and will even attack the porters for it. The game becomes more complex as it goes on. You have to travel in different types of unforgiving terrains that will drain your energy, and you have to make sure these goods are delivered if you want to upgrade your gears and purchase new ones. It also constantly forces you to check your gears and manage your resources properly. All in all, it is a great game if you want to try something new and challenging. The graphics and sound design are also top-notch in this one.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
If you are a fan of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider series, this game will definitely make you fall in love with the series a little bit more. This game portrays Lara as the badass character that everyone believed she was. From the moment you start the game, you can feel the intensity of the environment. The game introduces many features to make it more interesting and entertaining. You can now camouflage yourself using mud and sneak up behind enemy troops and take them out like a ninja. Or you can also go full Rambo mode and kill everyone using your super long combat knife. The gameplay has gotten more interesting with more difficult missions, side quests, and runes to explore. The graphics have also got a big update, and it looks more detailed now.

It has one of the most detailed and realistic graphics in video games. The game has also received a massive update with lots of bug fixes and performance boosts. If you were planning to start this game, now is a perfect time.
Flight Simulator
Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of those games that makes you happy for no reason. It doesn’t have crazy action sequences or adventure saga, but it does keep you very entertained throughout the gameplay. As the name implies, it is a flight simulation game that lets you control and manage an airplane while you fly to different locations on Earth. It doesn’t require a high understanding of aircraft to play this game. Just some hours of practice, and you’ll be able to fly these bad boys like a professional pilot. The game offers practically an entire map of the world, and you can fly anywhere you want. You can either fly very low to see the world from up close or above the clouds and surf through the endless skies.
